The problem
People quit the app right after breaking a long streak. The design punished a single missed day harder than it rewarded weeks of effort.
What I changed
Streaks now pause instead of resetting, and the calendar highlights the days you showed up rather than the ones you missed.

Faster check-ins
A Lock Screen widget made checking in a single tap, which removed the most common reason people forgot.
What I learned. People came back more often when a missed day cost them nothing. Being forgiving turned out to be the best retention feature.
What happened
The team shipped the redesign from SwiftUI-ready specs with very few questions during the build.
